Featured Artist – Billa Bozem
Billa was born in Germany and still lives there with her wonderful husband and three tomcats. She describes herself as an artist whose canvas is the monitor and whose brush is Photoshop.
Ever since she was a little girl she has felt the need to create beauty – She studied art for a while, began painting and did paper collages, but it’s only since she discovered Photoshop that she found her niche. Billa finally had a tool to create new worlds, to create the magic she had been striving for, to realize what had been slumbering in her for so long.
To deliberately live the Photo Artistic life allows her to break the rules. “It is just so much more fun to think differently, unconventionally, from another perspective. There are no boundaries then. It becomes a delicious adventure”… I love to let things happen, to follow my muse” she says.
Over time women have become the main focus of her work and she presents them in an emotive and mysterious style. She believes femininity has so much to offer – It radiates spirituality, delicacy, sensitivity, charm, graciousness, gentleness, dignity. Billa wants to make her viewers feel not only women’s fragility but also their quiet strength, not only their vulnerability but also their resilience.
Her ambition is to take her viewers on a journey to find their own empathy, to create a connection to their own history.
Lots of her pieces have been published on different issues in the international artistry magazine “Living the Photo Artistic Life” and “Somerset Digital Studio Magazine” Billa says Art enables me to find myself and lose myself at the same time.
