Jesús Ramirez
What is your title, and can you explain what your daily responsibilities are?
I am a Photoshop instructor and digital artists. Most of my time these days is spent on teaching people how to use Photoshop. whether it is from my YouTube channel, Photoshop Training Channel, live events, or training courses. I also have several clients where I still do design work. I’ve worked with companies like Adobe, Microsoft, and Conde Nast.
What inspired you most to become a Photographer/Artist?
I always liked drawing and art as a kid. I used to draw comic book characters and one point I started to use Photoshop to scan my drawings and paint over them. That led me to become interested in computer art and design.
What do you think is the biggest obstacle to pursuing a career in the creative fields?
The willingness to put in the hours of work. I think that most people think this is an easy field, or that by taking a class or two you will be able to become a professional. Which is not the case, you need years of work and practice to master your craft.
What predictions do you have for the future of Photoshop, Lightroom, and Photography?
My prediction for Photoshop is that Adobe Sensei (Artificial Intelligence) will continue to improve to a point where most the small mundane tasks are easy to do with one click. Leaving us more time to focus on the actual design.
